FAQ
Helpful Information
WHAT DO YOUR EMPLOYEES DO IN THE OFF SEASON?
Our full time employees only work about 40 hours a week in the winter months, which might be considered our off season. We continue to haul grain to the elevator, clean up equipment from the fall and doing maintenance on equipment for the spring. In the office, we remain busy all year with managing inputs, meeting with vendors, and preparing the moving parts for a successful spring.
HOW DO YOU MOVE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU FARM IN INDIANA, MICHIGAN AND OHIO?
Our farming radius spans over 60 miles. We drive all equipment on the road to each farm. There is a well executed plan of how we travel to make the most use out of our time. It also is dependent on the weather if fields are too wet for planting, harvesting or tillage.
WHO DO I CONTACT IF I AM INTERESTED IN LEASING MY LAND TO STOY FARMS?
We are always looking to add more quality land. We believe in developing long term partnerships that are good for the landowner and Stoy Farms. We pride ourselves on being flexible and willing to discuss any agreement. If you are interested in talking about your land situation please call Ken, Kevin or Tom or email us at office@stoyfarms.com.
